Joe opened the back door the other day to find that this orb-weaver had spun a web all the way across the doorway.

We used the front door till she and the web were gone. Some dreams we just can’t bear to mess with.

We do this too. I have taken to parking the car outside the carport because we don’t want to disturb the bat that’s roosting in there…

Every once in awhile, one of the resident spiders in my kitchen hatches a slew of babies.  There are a lot fewer flies than there used to be. . .
