Oh, yeah, another seasonal marker: I saw a ruby-crowned kinglet in the mulberry tree out front, first of the season. They migrate in for the winter.

I got there for a short time, just enough to grab Joe from the Save Strawberry Canyon booth and say Hi to Auntie Roz and Uncle Kem at the RHUB tent and to the folks (Eugenie Scott) at the NCSE booth. Then we went over to the new Cal Academy of Sciences palace for the press preview.
The place is pretty impressive. I took pix. I’ll put some of them here PDQ.

you going to the stroll today? i usually go with daughter, but she’s rather be with her friend, and i’m trying to get some stuff done. which, as you can see, i’m procrastinating…
