Looks like three chicks and two unhatched eggs, so far. . .

Ron, I saw the chicks being fed early this morning (getting up early has its advantages). How does the egg-sitter/chick-tender get food? I’ve seen only one falcon (don’t know if it’s the same one) and always on the nest. The bald eagles trade off on the egg sitting and will leave them for very short periods of time.

Dapper Dan the daddy seems to be making regular grocery deliveries, which I think is SOP. Sometimes he takes over at the nest, or tries to. He’s physically too small to get everybody including the egg under himself at once.
He doesn’t need to keep them warm today, of course.
I can’t tell (Diamond) Lil and Dan apart, but if the chicks are popping out the edges I’d suspect I was looking at Dan.

Here I’d thought all these years that I was immune to “cute.” These little fuzzballs, though. . .
